Product recall for Thule Rapid Fix point XT Kits:

 Part No’s: TK3050 - TK3061 – TK3066 – TK3068 - TK3069 - TK3077 – TK3080

 Dear customer,

Thule Sweden has informed us that there is a problem with some of the fit kits Thule Rapid Fix point XT launched in 2008.

Quality control at Sweden concluded that bolt 8523723002 in some kits does not meet the required safety standards.

Thule has since found out that the sub supplier has delivered the bolt with the wrong hardness. This defect could cause the bolt to possibly break under severe stress.

As a result Thule Sweden has initiated a product recall.

Which products are affected?

 TK3050 - TK3061 - TK3066 - TK3068 - TK3069 - TK3077 - TK3080

 Only products manufactured between 2008-01-01 and 2009-02-28 have the defective bolt and are part of the recall.

What we are asking you to do….

Please take the following immediate actions if your car is affected:

• Remove or stop all use of the load carrier
• Call your dealer that supplied and/or mounted the load carrier to organise replacement.

We will contact you immediately after receiving your completed form to organise a return shipment of the kits for re-work.
